Small marble-topped three-drawer commode with gilt-metal mounts

A small commode of three long drawers, the shaped reddish-brown marble top with moulded edge and rounded projecting corners. The quarter-veneered drawer fronts are framed by beaded gilt-metal mouldings, each with a pair of pressed rosette ring handles and a ribbon-tied keyhole escutcheon, between canted corners inlaid with light and dark flutes. It stands on turned tapering legs with gilt-metal collars and toe caps; wear to the marble edge is visible in the photographs.
