Pair of green and gilt chinoiserie tea canisters

A pair of cylindrical painted metal tea canisters with domed covers, finished in green with gilt bands to the covers, shoulders and bases. The face of each carries a gilt chinoiserie scene, one with a standing figure holding an animal, the other with a seated figure in a headdress, both set among trees, flowering plants and rockwork. The reverses are plain green and show scattered chips, scratches and rubbing to the paint.
