Carved giltwood console table with shaped variegated rose-pink marble top

A carved giltwood console table, the shaped variegated variegated rose-pink marble top above a frieze centred on a female mask amid vine leaves and grape clusters, hung with looped husk swags on a finely cross-hatched ground. Beaded borders and trailing husks follow the cabriole legs down to a serpentine X-stretcher, its centre fitted with a detachable urn finial carved with roses. Losses to the gilding and gesso are evident throughout, heaviest along the back edges and the feet.
