A large weathered terracotta model of a seated dog, impressed PESCI GIORGIO IMPRUNETA

A large model of a seated dog in weathered terracotta, sat erect on an integral oval base with cropped ears and a rolled collar at the neck. The modelling is naturalistic, from the sinewed forelegs down to the knuckled paws, and the surface has weathered to a mottled buff and charcoal. An impressed cartouche in the base reads PESCI GIORGIO over IMPRUNETA.
