A large patinated metal grotesque dolphin with leaf-form dish top

A large and characterful grotesque dolphin in dark patinated metal, posed head down on its gaping, toothed jaws and two splayed webbed fins. The scaled body rises in a tight S-curve, with a fringed crest along the back and a slender stem trailing down to a naturalistic lobed leaf that spreads to form a shallow dish top. Even dark patina overall, with pale green deposits in the mouth and on the fins.
